The Kirkwood Mountain Dining team is looking for enthusiastic and outdoor-oriented individuals to spend the winter in this alpine paradise with us!
Job Summary: The Mountain Dining Cleaning Attendant is responsible for keeping restrooms, dining areas, hallways, stairwells, foyers, windows and the deck area of the facility neat and sanitary during and after business hours. These responsibilities include vacuuming, bussing of tables, floor mopping, and general cleaning.
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of high-traffic areas.
- General cleaning of common guest and employee areas.
- Assist customers and guests throughout the day with questions, carrying equipment/food, directions, general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and neat workplace and dining room area; daily cleaning and side work tasks
- Assist the culinary team in the production of food to the guests: cutting vegetables, making salads, serving food to guests
- Re-Stocking all grab n’go coolers, beverage coolers, condiment stations, napkins, silverware, etc.
- Removal of trash from dining room, kitchen and outdoor areas
- Cleaning and maintenance of restroom facilities; restocking of supplies; emptying trash
- Pre-bus plates, trays, cups, etc. throughout the meal and clear entire table after guest leaves the table
- Assist in snow removal around all restaurant areas; removal of snow from outdoor picnic tables
Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work indoor and outdoor in a winter environment
- Educational Requirements: HS Diploma or GED
- Communication Requirements: Ability to speak, read and communicate clearly in English.
- Excellent guest service skills: Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness.
- Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year.
- Cash handling experience - optional
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous food and beverage experience preferred
- Previous food prep experience - optional
- California Food Handlers card – Required upon employment
- Ability to provide and wear non-slip shoes while working in the back of house
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of food sanitation principles.
- Previous housekeeping/janitorial expierence.
- Intermediate Ski/Ride ability (some positions/locations, only)

The General Store: A local's favorite! The General Store is a market and deli located inside the Red Cliffs Building. Enjoy a fast-paced environment where you get to know the neighbors while serving up ice cream, coffee and fresh made bites!
Monte Wolfe's: Located in the Kirkwood Village, Monte Wolfe's offers breakfast pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches. From your post, look out onto the village square and Chair 11.
Red Cliffs: Our largest spread on the mountain, Red Cliffs is a great place to come and grab a bite to eat or BYO Food and relax. Enjoy 180-degree views of the mountain from the dining area.
Outback Grill: Located on-mountain, you must be able to ski or ride at an intermediate level to work at the Outback. Here, you will take in all of that Kirkwood POW bounty while serving some of the tastiest burgers around. First-chair shred-heads? This is where you will find ‘em!
Timber Creek Cafe: Timber Creek Cafe (or, TC's as you'll come to call it) is located adjacent to our Ski and Ride School Learning Zone. A great place for families to dine while enjoying a day on the hill; TCs offers up a wide selection of menu items and is central to all of the action!
The Cornice Grill: Smack-dab in the center of the Kirkwood Village sits a Big Mountain sports bar known as the Cornice Grill. This outlet is a favorite for aprés ski.
Off The Wall Bar: Located in The Lodge at Kirkwood, enjoy views of Kirkwood’s famous ridgeline from Thimble Peak to Martin Point. The Wall Bar is a fine dining facility with Kirkwood flair!
The Kirkwood Inn: Located at the entrance to Kirkwood Meadows Drive, the Kirkwood Inn is a historic log cabin featuring western style food and atmosphere. A true gem, the Inn attracts locals, passers-through and riders alike.
