Our headquarter office of Vail Resorts, located in Broomfield CO, is creating a new employee “Grab N Go” food outlet in our building! We are looking for a Part Time Year Round individual who is positive, professional and friendly to be responsible for the Grab N Go station that includes, but is not limited to, selling prepared food items, preparing menu items and warming food, tender management and cleaning the stations. All while delivering exceptional guest service to dining guests.
Essential Job Functions:
- Preps and works station quickly and cleanly
- Follow prep sheets accurately and with a sense of urgency
- Take orders from customers and prepares or warms foods that require a short preparation time
- Suggestive selling to customers, adding items such as dessert, fruit, etc.
- Complete orders with use of warming ventless oven, placing food on guest trays, counters
- Perform simple food preparation tasks such as making sandwiches, salads, menu items will vary
- Inspects food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safety and sanitary food handling practices
- Takes responsibility for product used in their station and manages it to assure a quality product
- FIFO (first in, first out) rule observed daily in food rotation
- Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, counters, tables, etc. without supervision
- Cleans station throughout the shift removes garbage
- Closes food sales station and locks up all equipment
- Follows all OSHA and health standards
- Reads, understands and follows recipes and standards
- Advises Manager of anticipated problems
- Maintains inventory and places orders for food items
- Has the opportunity to assist in menu planning
- Self sufficient, works well with little supervision
- Manages payment for items
- Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with co workers
- Ability to communicate effectively and with a sense of urgency
- Inspects food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safety and sanitary food handling practices
- Will stock kitchens on all floors with coffee and coffee products, granola bars and paper and plastic items
- Will stock employee café including soda, coffee and coffee products, paper and plastic items
- Will clean employee café equipment and area
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - required
- 6 months previous restaurant food prep experience - required
- Serve Safe Cerification – preferered (will provide within 6 months of hire if employee is not currently certified)
- Microsoft Office proficiency - preferred
- Excellent English language communication skills - required
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service - required
- Menu planning experience - preferred
