Vail Mountain Club, Intermediate Cook - Full Time, Winter Seasonal, Vail Mountain
Vail Mountain Club is looking for an experienced cook to join the team for the winter 2014/15 season.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Serve members efficiently, courteously and promptly.
- Prepare various foods in a timely and correct manner.
- Follow and/or prepare prep sheets accurately and with a sense of urgency.
- Read, understand, and follow recipes and standards.
- Rotate product and keep a clean work station.
- Other duties, including cleaning, stewarding, and other duties as assigned by management.
- Extensive knowledge and application of sanitary practices, personal hygiene, safe food handling, and basic kitchen practices.
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team.
- Creative in menu preparation and working in small kitchen
- Possess strong fabrication skills and understand importance of leaving next shift fully prepared.
Qualifications:
- Be well organized and well spoken.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- High school diploma or equivalent - required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Able to communicate effectively in English - required.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs constantly - required.
- A flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, early mornings, etc - required.
- Must be able to work in fast paced environment - required.
- Must be able to work in team environment - required.
- Must have some cooking/culinary experience and knowledge - required.
