Valdosta Veterinary Associates is a 24/7/365 brand new, state-of-the-art emergency veterinary hospital located at 3815 Old Us Highway 41 N in sunny Valdosta, Georgia. Our current focus is small animal medicine (canine/feline). We also offer boarding & daycare.
Valdosta Veterinary Associates was founded by Jillian Courson, DVM. Our Kennel has 46 runs & we have a Cattery as well. We are currently seeking to add a kennel technician. If you have a huge appetite for learning and growing and you are an excellent team player, VVA might be the team for you!

Responsibilities
- Providing basic animal care for boarding cats and dogs including walking, cleaning kennels, runs, and litter boxes, feeding, and watering
- Organizing and supervising play groups for daycare patients.
- Administering oral, topical, otic, and ophthalmic medications to boarding patients.
- Providing basic grooming services such as bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression.
- Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining all Kennel areas.
- Meeting and greeting clients in lobby to pick up and drop off boarding patients.
- Weighing boarding patients at intake and ensuring veterinary assistants are aware of medical services needed during boarding.
- Documenting all aspects of patient care into electronic patient care flowsheet program.
- Assisting veterinary assistants as needed in restraining patients for procedures and cleaning main hospital areas.
- Guiding tours of kennel areas for established and potential clients.
- Any additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Will consider high school students with dual college enrollment for pre-vet program.
- Excellent attitude & communications skills, great attention to detail, a high level of conscientiousness & pride in your work, compassion & empathy, movement with purpose & initiative to stay productive at all times, dependability, confidence in handling potentially fractious & aggressive cats & dogs, a passion for learning & growing always.
- Open availability from 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week for FT. Must have open availability outside of class schedule for PT.
