Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team at Valero. As a key member of our environmental compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our refinery operates in compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for environmental compliance and permitting projects
- Maintain current knowledge of existing and proposed regulations and provide guidance to refinery personnel
- Ensure timely completion of federal, state, and local government reporting obligations
- Assist with permitting tasks and communicate effectively with engineering and operations personnel
- Participate in on-call duty rotation and ensure assigned spill/upset/emission event/reporting requirements are satisfied
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Five years of environmental engineering or related refinery engineering experience
- Able and willing to work on-site at the Valero Wilmington Refinery
- Eligible to obtain a TWIC card
