What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Vehicle Mechanic position at Valiant Integrated Services?
- Perform intermediate and direct support level maintenance for commercial/civilian vehicles and equipment.
- Provide general and direct support for ATVs, small engines, light towers, generators and trailers.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs.
- Perform maintenance at maintenance shop and in the field.
- Operate forklift and tractor.
- Work in various weather conditions.
- Work weekends and shift work.
- Follow all environmental and safety rules.
Required Experience
- Three years’ experience as a general mechanic on civilian/domestic vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Possess a valid La Class D Chauffer's License.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Will be subject to random drug screening.
