What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Dance Coach (Beaverton, OR) position at Valley Catholic High School?
Valley Catholic School is seeking a Head Dance Coach for the 2025-2026 season.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Start Date: First official practice August 18
OSAA Championship: March 21
****In past years, try-outs have been in May and the team would go to a dance camp in July. Consideration given to changes new coaches might want to explore.
Essential job functions:
1. To instruct in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
2. To provide instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, strong work ethic, faith, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self‐discipline, leadership, and self‐confidence.
Special Requirements:
1. NFHS and OSAA Coaching Certifications (including First Aid/CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen as well as all Archdiocesan required training and certifications.
2. Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to coaching and the assigned sport.
3. The person employed for this position must be able to verify identity, employment authorization, complete a background check, and complete a fingerprint check.
