Valley County Health System (VCHS) has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our professional and dedicated Pharmacy team. This position is scheduled for 32 hours per week.
JOB SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Tech assists the Pharmacist and staff with daily pharmacy operational tasks. The Pharmacy Tech delivers medications to various departments, assists with purchasing and inventory management, assists with stocking the automated medication dispensing system, prepares sterile medications and conducts medication reconciliation.
REQUIREMENTS: • One year past-experience preferred • Current Pharmacy Tech Certification preferred • Experience working with patients • Independent problem-solving skills • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
