What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthy Living Department Manager position at Valley Fresh Market- Atascadero?
Provides courteous, friendly, and exceptional customer service in our Natural Living and Wellness Department. The manager will stock nutritional supplements, natural body care, and other products. The manager will also be responsible for building and maintaining attractive displays. You will be required to provide a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient service to our customers at all times.
- Monitors product quality and freshness and ensures proper product rotation.
- Logs, processes, and retrieves customer special orders.
- Follows department procedures for preparing, storing, rotating, and stocking of product.
- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
- Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with Valley Fresh Markets cleanliness and safety standards.
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
- Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
