JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Consultant is responsible for the inventory of the parts department as well as maintaining knowledge of automotive systems and informing customers of basic technical information on their vehicles.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience with automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and automotive parts.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- A mechanic background is a plus, but not required.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable):
- No supervisory responsibilities required for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Orders and purchases automotive parts; verifies parts numbers from appropriate catalogs; prepares purchase request.
- Contacts vendors for ordering parts.
- Checks all incoming purchases against invoices; stocks supplies in appropriate bins.
- Communicates with customers on parts and/or service needed or in progress.
- Adhere to work schedule and maintain regular attendance.
- Performs Wallwork Inc.-wide duties as requested by the designated supervisor.
- Upholds Wallwork Inc. ethical standards and demonstrate the behavioral and service expectations as defined in our policies and procedures.
