**Position: Medical Assistant**
**Location: Northampton and Easthampton**
**Hours: 32-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00 am-5:00 pm, plus occasional weekends. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at the time of the interview. **

** Sign-On Bonus: Up to $1000!**
*$1,000 for 40 hours. The sign-on bonus is prorated based on hours. Exclusions apply for internal applicants or employees who have left VMG within the previous 90 days. *

** Job Responsibilities:**
- Prepare patients for their visit, including obtaining vitals, patient history, medication reconciliation, and reviewing allergies.
- Assist with procedures and point-of-care testing.
- Document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (Athena).
**Required Qualifications:**
- Medical Assisting program certificate, EMT license.
- Current CPR certification.
- EMR experience (Athena preferred).
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA.
** Additional Preferred Qualifications:**
- CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred.
- Proof of completion of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.
- Experience administering vaccines.
