What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Night Shift position at Valley Oaks Care Center?
The LPN Charge Nurse is primarily responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing, Nursing Assistants, and the rest of the clinical staff. This position also requires supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a current valid Nurse License.
- Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing and experience preferred.
- Up-to-date physical assessment skills and comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles are required.
Candidate Success Profile:
- Always remembers to put the resident first.
- Sets clear expectations with the nursing assistants in accordance to the current state regulations of a long-term care facility.
- Becomes a mentor for their team and takes accountability for their compliance with the facility’s written policies and procedures.
- Is passionate about staying updated on administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the director of nursing and the attending physicians. Best resident outcome
- Manages conflict by leaving their ego at the door and practices blameless problem solving.
- Be the best nurse possible cool under pressure by continuously learning new and better practices.
