Summary
As a Director at Valley Oaks Health, you will play a pivotal role in leading our mental health services and ensuring that our mission is realized throughout the organization. This position is integral to fostering community well-being and enhancing the quality of care provided to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Patient Access Leadership: Develop and manage systems and workflows for patient access, includ-ing intake (registration and scheduling), initial prescreens and assessments, and care navigation across all service lines and locations. Ensure the timely and efficient assessment of patients, mini-mizing delays in care. Manage care coordination efforts for patients in accessing treatment recom-mendations, ensuring patient needs related to social determinants of health and medical care are addressed as well
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead a multidisciplinary team of therapists, peers, CHWs, and case managers. Provide ongoing supervision and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery. Support clinical staff in performing evidence-based, clinically sound assessments and making timely care recommendations.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee access-related services, including scheduling and initial assessments, while collaborating with crisis services and benefits navigation. Design and implement policies and procedures to improve access and enhance patient satisfaction. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FQHC, CMHC, DCS, and CCBHC requirements
- Collaboration and Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other directors and departments to ensure seamless care coordination. Work with the executive team on innovative models of care and integration strategies as the organization transitions to CCBHC and FQHC frameworks. Build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders to address gaps in access.
- Financial and Data Management: Develop and manage budgets for access services, ensuring efficient use of resources. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to patient access, revenue, and satisfaction. Utilize data to identify areas for improvement, related to access and patient satisfaction, and implement industry best standards/evidence-based solutions.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in behavioral sciences or related field.
- Holds and maintains Licensure or Certification at the highest level of their profession.
- Clinical experience (at least 2 years) in community mental/behavioral health, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field, with a focus on change management and program development.
- Proven experience in leading organizational change initiatives, improving workflows, and driving innovation in service delivery.
