Valley Pacific is looking for a Utility Maintenance Specialist for our Visalia location located at 1633 E. Mineral King Avenue Visalia, CA. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, with an emphasis on attention to detail. A self-starter who operates effectively with little supervision will find tremendous success in this position. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and organized, with a “team-minded” attitude.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Job duties include working hands on with petroleum equipment; including but not limited to tanks, hoses, meters, drums, and pails.
- Knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus.
- Forklift driving and order picking.
- Candidate should also have the ability to tow trailers for packager transfers or customer delivery.
- Basic math and counting comprehension.
- ability not required by would be a plus.
- Must possess a valid Class C license.

- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including email
- Knowledge of the petroleum industry is a plus
- Acts in accordance with the company's code of ethics and mission statement.
- Able & willing to respond to emergencies, urgent unusual situations. (spill/mix cleanups, fires, accidents, urgent customer demands, weekend, holiday, & overnight assignments).
- Remains calm in demanding situations.
- Able to accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive.
- Knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous to customers & suppliers.
- Maintains a good working relationship with all drivers, dispatchers, and management. Courteously and efficiently receives instructions and orders.
- Able and willing to do special assignments or tasks when needed.
- Communication is clear, concise, and understandable in communicating with others.
- Takes good care of company equipment (keeps in good operable condition) no rough treatment, misuse, or abuse.
- Understands and follows all loading and unloading procedures, processes, and policies.
- Safely and efficiently carries out all assignments, does not waste time or company.
