What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Valley Packaging Industries?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides active and direct supervision to program participants.
- Assists individuals with reaching their goals.
- Maintains accurate documentation.
- Be creative and work with your team to plan fun activities and outings.
- Performs other duties, such as bus duty, program coverage, leading activities, and assisting with program participants' personal care needs.
- Develop relationships with individuals, families, team members, and other service providers.
- Responsible for dispensing prescribed medications to members during program hours.
- Lift and transfer clients when appropriate and as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work performed includes sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, stooping, lifting / carrying (up to 50 pounds without assistance), pushing / pulling, reaching below shoulder level, and reaching overhead. Functions are considered light to moderate according to the US Bureau of Labor.
