Mammography Technologist
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem candidates will all be considered
Valley Radiology Consultants has been serving the North San Diego County area since 1971. We offer our patients a full range of imaging services in two outpatient clinics, and a mobile Mammography bus to help women in underserved areas in three counties.
We want you to join our team as a Mammography Technologist and are open to hiring qualified people in Full-time, Part-Time, or Per Diem schedules. Our ideal candidate is able to work on Saturdays, but other availability is welcome.
Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist's primary role is caring for our patients by performing screening and diagnostic breast imaging, and may also assist in interventional breast procedures. You will be responsible for calibrating and operating diagnostic equipment and work directly with the on-site Physicians. As part of the Valley Radiology team, you will work within the safety standards and regulatory requirements, and also participate in quality control (QC) and continuing medical education (CME).
Education & Licensure Requirements:
- Completion of a formal training program for Radiology and Mammography Technology
- Current California licensure for Mammography (CRT-M)
- Current ARRT "R"
- Solid understanding of ACR and MQSA regulations
- BLS certification
Work Experience:
- Six months of experience in performing mammography as directed by radiologists is desired
- Mammography and X-ray experience with proven competence in an outpatient Radiology clinical setting preferred
- General knowledge of information technology (PACS / RIS).
