GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION: Certified Medication Technicians only at this time. Under general supervision, performs and/or supervises delivery of health services for all residents; directs and manages staff to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assess health and safety needs of residents; oversees medical care (medications/treatments) Assist with family contact when medical issue is involved Provide assessment input about residents to the Clinical Services Director Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers Perform other related essential duties as required
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma, vocation/technical training, at least 3 years of experience preferably in a geriatric setting or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires First Aid certification Must receive criminal records clearance Must have health screening and TB/CXR clearance
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Physical Requirements: Ability to operate and use a variety of health care equipment Ability to utilize a variety of clerical, medical and computer supplies Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of resident to position or transport them Ability to perceive and discriminate colors, sounds, textures, odors and forms Language and Interpersonal Communication: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
