Barista for Mountain Brew Coffee Shop

Valley View is looking for an experienced Barista for our Mountain Brew Coffee Shop!   Ideal candidate is customer-focused, with proven experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.  Looking for someone with a strong background from major coffee chains with an emphasis on consistency, quality, and adherence to brand standards.  If you thrive in a dynamic setting and are passionate about great coffee (and even better service!), we want to meet you!

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

1. Perform setup, stocking, clerical, cashier, and money management duties of department.
2. Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages consistently according to recipes and customer preferences.
3. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and customer areas.
5. Greet customers, take orders accurately, and process payments.
6. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift.
7. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Barista experience in a standardized corporate environment, highly preferred
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 
• Frequent bending, reaching, and walking.

SALARY RANGE

• ‎$20.00 - $27.75/hour 
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
