What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Heart and Vascular position at Valley View?

We are in search of a cardiovascular nurse to help care for our cardiology and vascular patient population, and provide support for Dr. Ethan Munzinger.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Triaging and assessing patient concerns via telephone, computer, and in person encounters
- Providing care coordination
- Providing clinic guidance on authorizations for cardiology and vascular procedures
- Assisting with Vascular procedures
- Assisting with Exercise/Nuclear Stress Tests
- Assisting with Tilt Table Tests
- Applying and providing oversight on heart monitors
- Performing occasional EKGs
- Starting IVs for testing purposes
- Occasionally assisting with rooming of clinic patients
Requirements:
- Current Colorado RN license or ability to obtain.
- BLS and ACLS Certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year RN work experience.
- Previous RN Ambulatory Care experience in a Cardiology Clinic, Med Surg, or CCU experience are all a plus!
- Experience working with an EMR, Athena is also a plus.

SALARY RANGE
- $31.43-$46.21/hour (BSN)
- $30.22 - $44.44/hour (ADN)
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
- Sign-on Bonus of $8,000 (2-year commitment required/Internal candidates not eligible)
- Annual Bonuses based upon organizational and individual performance.
