What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydro-Tester Operator position at Vallourec North America?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure proper pipe is on table
- Pressure pipe to API specification
- Complete downtime summary
- Complete hydro report
- Ensure that chart recorder is correct
- Make size changeovers
- Keep area clean and orderly
- Perform maintenance on machine
- Cross train to learn telesis operator and coater/drift operator
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Very good mechanical aptitude.
- Good math skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work in team environment without supervision.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D.

5S, SAFETY and WORKING CONDITIONS
- Keep equipment and working area clean for the purpose of safety, appearance and operating efficiency.
- Place equipment, tooling and gauging in proper location at the end of shift or completion of job task.
- Clean up work area at the end of shift and/or during shift as required.

- Observe safety rules and wear required safety equipment while on the job.

- Dirt, grease, oil and water present to some degree.
