Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Substation Project Manager to lead and oversee high-voltage substation and utility infrastructure projects. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on management of engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of HV substation and utility projects from engineering through construction and closeout.
- Manage and coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities to meet schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
- Oversee subcontractors, construction management staff, and site teams.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking using Primavera and other project controls tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and utility standards.
- Review technical documentation, construction plans, and contractor deliverables.
- Mentor and manage members of the construction management team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- 5–10 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing EPC activities.
- Proven experience with high-voltage substations; utility transmission experience strongly preferred.
- Background in electrical transmission line and substation EPC projects is a plus.
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Primavera.
- Ongoing professional development through certifications, training programs, or industry education is preferred.
