Valon’s Product team is a growing, fast-paced team with a goal of building a mortgage servicing platform that both empowers mortgage servicing agents to focus on providing exceptional services and also delivers a phenomenally transparent product experience to homeowners. As a product manager at Valon, you will own a business area within the product and lead the creation and execution of the product strategy. Our product is at the unique stage where you’ll have the opportunity to build multiple 0 to1 features, but also scale and iterate on existing MVP features and product experiences. You’ll be working closely with our CPO and world-class engineering team to create a product that delivers value to homeowners, mortgage servicing agents, and mortgage lenders.

- Builds and maintains the infrastructure needed to empower all Valon product areas to create great experiences for our Servicing Team, our Homeowners, and our Customers
- Develops great experiences for our homeowners across all interactions with Valon
- Empowers our servicing team with tools that make them more efficient and that facilitate high quality, direct interactions with our homeowners
Responsibilities
- Define, own, and deliver business-level objectives and product strategy for the Experience team
- Deeply, deeply, deeply understands the internal/external users and personas, how they use the product, and their pain points
- Partner closely with engineering on executing efficiently
- Work cross-functionally and across organizations to launch new products and features
- Synthesize quantitative data analysis with qualitative user research results to make informed product decisions
- Define simple, generalizable technical solutions to ambiguous problems and outline the solutions via clear and executable product requirements
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand their needs and perspectives
- Manage relationships and projects with external vendors
Ideal Background
- 6 years of product management experience in technical, complex product portfolio.
- Experience working on Fintech, internal tools, regulated products, and/or building for or working with operations teams.
- You understand what it takes to build enterprise-grade software
- You have a “get things done” approach
- Experience working with external vendors to enable integrations via APIs
