What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatry, Full Time Psychiatrist position at Valor Healthcare, Inc?
The Health Services Corps (IHSC) mission is comprehensive and the unique detention environment requires a broad clinical background. As a full-time psychiatrist at Valor Healthcare Inc., you will be responsible for evaluating, formulating diagnoses, and treating psychiatric and mental health care needs of patients in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditions
- Provide urgent and emergency mental health care as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Provide gender-specific care, including transgender care and management of mental health care during pregnancy
You will also be responsible for rotational on-call coverage and may need to return to the facility to provide care during the coverage period. As a telepsychiatry provider, you will use IHSC video teleconferencing equipment and electronic medical records software to examine and record patient plans of care.
Requirements:
- Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine independently in the state of Arizona
- Board Certification or eligible by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Vacation time: although not specified we assume 4 weeks per year.
Salary : $175,200 - $208,000
