POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Biology seeks applications for adjunct instructors for one or more of the following courses:
- Fundamentals of Biology laboratory
- Principles of Cell and Molecular Biology laboratory
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Teach the above-mentioned coursework in biology.
- Transfer knowledge including theory, practical skills, methods and techniques in his/her related field.
- Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and thinking regarding biology.
- Facilitate the learning of first-generation college students and incorporate culturally-relevant pedagogy within the classroom.
- Collaborate with department faculty in curriculum implementation, student support and continuous program improvement.
- Master's degree (MS or MA) or higher in biology or a related field.
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
