We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck or van to deliver products to designated locations efficiently and safely.
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in driving various types of vehicles.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) not mandatory; experience with box trucks is a plus.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a similar role within the moving or warehouse industry.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while on the road.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods during loading and unloading processes.
- A clean driving record with no major violations is required; background checks may be conducted as part of the hiring process.
