Full-Time Clinical Assistant for Orthodontic Practice
Varble Orthodontics (Creve Coeur & Saint Peters) is looking for an amazing orthodontic clinical assistant to join our incredible team full-time. We LOVE kids and in order to apply, you must as well! This orthodontic clinical position is full-time and will serve our Creve Coeur and our Saint Peters locations.
The ideal candidate loves kids and is professional, friendly, detail-oriented, responsible and a team player. Experience in dental is required.
Requirements:
- A friendly, positive and professional demeanor with patients, parents and office team members
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
- A thorough knowledge of dentistry and/or willingness to learn
- Strong computer skills; preferably knowledge of Ortho2 Edge
- Ability to work Monday – Thursday, 7:15 am to 4:30 pm (opportunities for additional hours)
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Greeting patients and parents with a warm and welcoming smile
- Instructing patients and parents on good oral hygiene
- Taking x-rays, facial photos and intra-oral photos
- Using the iTero scanner
- Assisting doctor clinically
- Entering treatment plans per doctor's exam
- Checking charts and ensuring procedures are properly entered in patient's chart
- Having a complete knowledge of tray set up for doctor
- Collecting and reading health updates
- Documenting referrals
- Walking patients and parents to the front desk and explaining the treatment that was provided that day and the treatment that is needed in the future
