To ensure proper handling, packing, labeling and receipts of materials. To ensure that materials are properly processed according to proper requirements. To ensure fast and accurate processing of receipts that meets customer specifications. Work within the parameters of the QM System to help Variosystems achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals. To ensure smooth and timely customs process flow. To ensure that all customs procedures and regulations are followed. To ensure that all problems are solved effectively and in a timely matter.

AREA: Warehouse El Paso
REPORTS TO: Materials Lead – Mexico
BUDGET: $14 - $15 Per Hour
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with Mexico customs broker/ traffic department to insure accuracy, reconcile and expedite as needed.
Compares identifying information and counts, items of incoming/outgoing shipments to verify information of invoices and Packing Lists
Unpacks, examines and reports incoming shipments, documents reject or damaged material and missing documents, discrepancy in quantity, purchase order terms, packing list and reconciles and reports to Buyer or directed SL/JZ support.
Reports discrepancies and works with procurement to ensure timely resolution of conflicts. Timing, documents, quantities.
Follow-up with carriers, contact suppliers as needed for tracking, manage pre-alerts daily and maintain record of all communications.
Tracks shipments for hot priority orders and prepares hot list for expediting to MX plant.
Validate and maintain part number, quantity count and supplier, receipt date in Excel OR documented process for visibility.
Support to generate packing list or other documents for inbound or outbound activities if needed, and assigned
Will support third party warehouse safety, protocols and processes, supporting as needed.
Monitor pending or incoming material to assure they are processed timely.
Investigate and resolve any problems with materials.
Participates in documentation updates.
Ensure compliance of procedures and regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer skills (Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Email)
Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
Good math skills required
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish both verbal and written
Visual Acuity – clarity of vision at approx. 20 inches reading small labels, packing lists.
Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Self-Motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
Flexible work schedule, expected hours from 8 am to 5 pm
SAP experience a plus
