Description: A Producer is a sales position responsible for developing new business sales, as well as retention for existing clients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for generating new accounts to meet assigned sales goal
- Being active in the community and networking
- Provides quotes and completes applications and all supporting documentation on new business
- Making sales calls to assigned group employer accounts, referral sources and prospects
- Responsible for retention of assigned book or group business accounts
- Keep informed regarding information: industry, products, coverages, legislation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be friendly and highly motivated
- Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of Employee Benefits
- Time management and well organized
Requirements
- 3 years in benefits insurance, carrier or related business experience
- Maine Health & Life license are required
