IT Support Specialist

Vast is looking for an IT Support Specialist, reporting to the IT Manager for providing day-to-day technical support to Vast’s internal employees and making sure systems run smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing timely and efficient solutions to their problems. Your expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and exceptional customer service will be key to your success in this role.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, in-person position in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult technical issues with limited information
• Provide help desk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
• Maintains and supports enterprise resources, including laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones and other network enabled devices
• Monitor, respond and resolve incidents in an ITSM system while ensuring SLA performance metrics are met. Ex: Jira SM, ZenDesk
• Strong troubleshooting of Windows 10/11 operating system
• Strong troubleshooting of MacOS
• Some understanding of Active Directory or LDAP
• Comfortable replacing hard drives, memory and other computer components
• Onboarding/ offboarding users
• Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
• Provide support for multiple locations
• Installing, moving, equipment that may weigh up to 50 lbs
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in IT
• Proven experience with ITSM tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  
  
  

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standards regarding IT and data
  
  
  

Salary Range: California

$26.98—$32.97 USD
