What are the responsibilities and job description for the Big data architect position at VBeyond Corporation?
Required Qualifications :
Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or must be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 11 years of Information Technology experience
5-6 years of Experience in architecting data Engineering space on Scala & Spark Azure.
At least 4 years of hands on experience in handling large amount of big data using Azure and pyspark Ecosystems.
At least 2 years of experience with Scala / Python / Java required
Experience in data migration and cloud modernization from legacy / on-premise platforms
Solution architecture support for pre-sales and proposals : Estimation, Sizing, Solution evaluation and recommendation, Client presentation, etc.
Strong Data analysis and Data Modelling skills
Ability to evaluate between various native, third-party and open-source components / services, and propose the right architecture for client needs
Strong programming background including Scala, SQL, Python and Pyspark framework
Azure Data platform, ETL / ELT services, DWH, and Analytics services(Synapse)
