Vector Technical's partner is the largest privately held Heat Treat company in the US. This stable manufacturing company in Willoughby, OH, is seeking Braze Assembly Operators for their busy operation!
Climate-controlled area.
Candidates who enjoy fine-detail work (previous small-repair work; crafting) while sitting at your own station may enjoy this position!
The Braze Operator will prepare parts for furnace brazing by cleaning, assembling, and pasting product. Inspect product visually and dimensionally, using specified inspection equipment.
May also perform temporary assignments in other departments as needed.
Available Shifts :
1st Shift (6 : 30a-2 : 30p) - $18 / hr.
pay bump to $18.96 / hr. once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform Bench Assembly work on small parts that consists of the following :
- Clean component parts with acetone, solvent, soap and water, and / or grinding tools with burrs.
- Follow traceability process.
- Fixture parts for brazing according to work instructions.
- Transport parts to the designated furnace areas using racks, hand carts, and other material handling devices.
- Inspect brazed assemblies, per instructions and specifications and log inspection results.
- Report discrepancies and equipment problems to Area Manager or Maintenance Department.
- Keep area clean and organized at all times. Reference 5S board for specific tasks.
- Keep inventory of all necessary tools to perform the job and ensure they are in good working condition (fiber optic light, borescopes, testing devices). Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is essential for success.
- Attention to detail, exceptional fine-motor skills and the ability to produce consistent quality work are required.
