Vectorply is a privately-owned company with headquarters in Phenix City, AL. The company employs approximately 190 employees between administration, sales, engineering, and production and produces more than 300 different styles of reinforcement fabrics for a wide variety of composites applications. Vectorply supplies the vast composites industry with materials from our 200,000 sq. ft production facility in Alabama, along with international manufacturing partners.
Due to continued growth, Vectorply is seeking an experienced IT Specialist. The IT Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, maintaining and supporting the technological systems that Vectorply uses for its computer and software networks.
Experience /Skills:
- 4-year undergraduate degree (Information Technology or Computer Science preferred)
- In lieu of a related degree, 5 years related experience/training, or a combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
- Proven experience in IT support roles, with focus on business software administration.
- Strong understanding of business processes and workflows, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards is a plus.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Ability to respond to, interact and collaborate with vendors, suppliers and coworkers.
- Self-starter, with ability to work independently and/or as a team member under general supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft OS and Microsoft 365.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
