Job Summary:

Vehicle Management Solutions (VMS), a leading provider of end-to-end vehicle management solutions including dispatch, vehicle storage and traffic incident management with a nationwide presence across 15 states, is looking for a highly motivated Regional Controller to join the corporate Finance team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Regional Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of several of the company's locations. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, private equity backed organization in a highly visible function with exposure to senior leadership at VMS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Oversees the accounting operations, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll for their designated sites.
• Manage Cash Flow for all the locations he/she is responsible for.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
• Works with both site-specific team members and corporate controller to ensure books are closed in a timely manner each month.
• Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
• Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Ten years or more of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in accounting software. Familiarity with Acumatica a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
