Key Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement initiatives using sound engineering principles to improve capability, consistency, and efficiency
- Analyze manufacturing and production control methods to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions
- Design, implement, and maintain standardized systems for tracking process performance, defects, returns, and CAPAs
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve document control systems, including customer and regulatory documentation
- Own the development and use of metrics throughout the facility
- Implement and enhance supplier quality management programs with a focus on upstream process capability
- Evaluate and approve new and modified extrusion tools to ensure process robustness and manufacturability
- Ensure processes comply with VEKA quality standards and applicable industry requirements, including AAMA 303 and ISO 9001
- Oversee quality testing and inspection equipment to ensure accurate, reliable process feedback
- Lead non-conformance investigations and CAPA activities, emphasizing systemic and preventive solutions
- Partner with customers on quality and reliability concerns, translating issues into process improvements
- Support warranty claim investigations by identifying and correcting underlying process deficiencies
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems
- Proven experience implementing or improving quality systems in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of advanced statistical analysis and its application to corrective actions
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional and multi-site environments
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and related software (e.g., Minitab, QI Macros)
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Quality, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience OR
- Associate degree in Science, Engineering, Quality, or related field plus 10 years of relevant experience
- Project Management experience preferred
