As an Underwriting Assistant, you will work to support MMB Underwriting in the day-to-day servicing and processing of new business and renewal accounts.
With a critical eye for detail, you will be responsible for ensuring quality processing throughout the life cycle of a policy.
This role would report to an Underwriting Support Manager and would be responsible for supporting Underwriting KPIs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Under the direction of an underwriter or Sr. UA, processes quotes, binders and endorsements
- Follows up with broker on outstanding subjectivities and inspection contact information
- Review, finalize and issue drafted policies
- Processes BORs
- Maintains Underwriting files by ensuring that all relevant documents are included and adhering to naming conventions
- Processes non-renewals and cancellation letters
- Assists with special projects
You've got :
- College Degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Ability to prioritize job responsibilities to meet internal service standards
- Strong attention to detail and understand its importance with our business
- Strong time management skills
