Service Advisor – What You’ll Do
Obtaining thorough and detailed information in regards to service needs, vehicle issues and symptoms through active listening and asking questions
Proactively supporting all customer interactions by checking for recalls, maintenance records, service schedules, etc.
Ensuring our customers receive the best answer to their questions every time.
Take ownership of the customer’s experience from beginning to end
Ensure accurate data and information is always considered to obtain maximum results
Maintains customer rapport by providing explanation of estimates and daily updates
Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers
Monitors repair work to ensure vehicle will be ready when promised
Promote accountability by challenging team members and suppliers to ensure the best solutions for the customer
Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives
Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories to better assist customer needs.
Ensure that required documentation is complete and in compliance with regulations and standards.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving and sales skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
Ability to work well in a process driven and fast paced environment
Ability to efficiently manage and follow up with high volume of repair orders
Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize and stay organized
Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
Basic knowledge of gasoline or diesel vehicle repair/service
Familiarity with warranty processes a plus
