Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a K-8 Tutor located in Wilmington, MA. The tutor will be responsible for providing personalized one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in grades K-8. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, assisting with homework, reinforcing learning concepts and skills, and closely monitoring student progress. The role also includes collaborating with parents and teachers to ensure alignment with school curriculums and addressing any specific learning needs or challenges of the students.
Qualifications
- Experience in providing tutoring or teaching services to children in grades K-8
- Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school subjects such as math, science, reading, and writing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students and effectively communicating with parents and teachers
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners at their level
- Proficiency in preparing lesson plans and utilizing various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
