What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver for Wheelchair Bound Passengers position at Ventura Transit System?
Busy transportation company is seeking drivers to drive a wheelchair accessible van (regular Class C License OK) for wheelchair transportation, transporting patients to doctors appointments. We prefer someone who can work full time with some overtime, though part time will be considered if the availability matches our needs.
- Must be over 21 years old with a valid California driver's license.
- Must be physically capable of pushing a wheelchair up a ramp, and kneeling down to strap a wheelchair into the vehicle.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
