We are seeking a highly motivated individual with payroll experience to join our team. As a Payroll Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple clients. This role offers opportunities for growth within our company.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively as a key team member in our payroll processing group.
- Process payroll for multiple clients on a daily basis.
- Manage workflow to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all payroll transactions.
- Review payrolls for accuracy prior to finalization.
- Understand and apply proper taxation of employer-paid benefits.
- Process garnishment calculations and ensure compliance.
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
- Assist with accurate and timely Quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
- Load import files received from clients.
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to address issues or missing items.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and create efficiencies.
**Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma/GED required; some college or college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in payroll processing is a must.
- Customer service experience is required.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong PC skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
- Experience with integration of Timekeeping systems to Payroll is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
- High degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of management.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
