SUMMARY 
This position is a managerial position responsible for the accurate, efficient and service-oriented operation of the ticket selling functions of Ford Center and Victory Theatre.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Associate Director.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.     Customer Focus:  Is dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

5.     Management of the overall operation of the ticket office and in the ordering, sale, and accounting for all tickets sold for events at the building.
6.     Manages the selection, placement, promotion, training, scheduling, safety, appraisal, and discipline of all ticket sellers.
7.     Maintains the proper accounting of all money and tickets for events serviced by the facility.
8.     Maintains daily records of business transactions, including but not limited to, daily sales, accounts receivable, bad checks and charges, long and short show reports, complimentary tickets, and the recording and deposit of daily receipts.
9.     Handles the collection and dissemination of marketing information as related to ticket sales and customer service goals.
10.  Manages group sales program and, as needed, subscription series accounts for building clients.
11.  Handles complaints, ticket problems, and customer service issues in a fair, professional, and courteous manner.
12.  Maintains and regularly updates calendars, electronic messages and other ticket office information equipment with event information, sales dates, prices and times.
13.  Knowledge of Ticketmaster and event set-up process
14.  Processes ticket sales at box office and by mail
15.  Develops manuals, procedures and correspondence of Ticket Office
16.  Handles the day to day correspondence and execution of tickets for premium seat sales after an Agreement / Contract has been executed by the sales & marketing manager: assuring quality customer service and attention to ticketing needs as well as maintaining accurate financial credits and statements for clients.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
Supervision of all part time ticket sellers.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
1.     Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.     Demonstrated knowledge of computerized ticketing systems; accounting and finance procedure including record keeping and reconciliation.
3.     Experience working in a computer network environment utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
4.     Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS 
1.     Applicants must possess a current valid driver’s license and a vehicle that can be accessed for work purposes and a current working home telephone with a number that can be accessed by building management personnel for business contact purposes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS 
1.     Requires outgoing, articulate personality with well-developed communication skills and personal poise.
2.     Ability to read, analyzes and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
3.     Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
4.     Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.  Ability to engage in public speaking.
5.     Ability to speak and understand English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 
1.     Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
2.     Ability to apply concepts of basic math on an Excel spreadsheet, calculator, ten key adding machine, or cash register.
COGNITIVE SKILLS / REASONING ABILITY 
1.     Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in an often fast-paced environment where multiple tasks, events and stimulus may occur simultaneously.
2.     Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
3.     Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 
4.     Ability to remember previously learned material such as specifics criteria, techniques, principles and procedures.
5.     Ability to put parts together to form a new whole or proposed set of operations
6.     Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, dealing with both abstract and concrete variables.
7.     Ability to identify choices and potential outcomes, determine importance of outcomes, combine information to prioritize options and make decisions based on best and most important choice.

4.     Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT  
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 
1.     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
2.     The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, during some events, can become quite loud.
3.     Hours worked may be in excess of 40 hours including weekends and on holidays depending on the nature of work load and events.
