Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Non-Income tax process and payments such as Gross Receipts, Franchise & Excise Taxes; Including Real Estate Taxes.
- Support the month end and year end closing activities, including preparing appropriate ledger entries in accordance with US GAAP.
- Perform key account analysis and/or prepare Account Reconciliations.
- Assist in the analyses of financial statement results and the preparation of actual to actuals variance analysis/explanations on P/L & B/S accounts according to company policy and practices.
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and technical compliance to US GAAP, internal controls, and company policy.
- Interact with corporate internal and external auditors on an as-needed basis.
- Participate in other projects as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and finance transformation efforts.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related major required.
- Professional or post graduate degree, a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Have the mindset of process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, systemic and problem solving skills.
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a strong ability to manage, simultaneously, multiple project deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including pivot and look-up table functionalities and Google Workspace products.
- Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft, or other ERP software is a plus.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- CPA License, a plus.
