An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QC Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis in our Quality Department. The job holder will be required to:
- Perform the laboratory analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, cleaning verification samples and other miscellaneous samples to the written procedures and SOP’s as required.
- Sample raw materials, finished products and other products as required.
- Maintain documentation and electronic records according to the requirements of cGMP.
- Work as part of a day shift rotation that includes 12 hour shifts and also includes weekend working.

Key responsibilities
In this role you will be required to:
- To perform analysis and report results in accordance with cGMP requirements for laboratory operations.
- Report analytical deviations and out of specification results with appropriate rigour and to contribute to their root cause resolution.
- Perform routine housekeeping of laboratory area.
- Ensure GDocP compliance of all documentation, written and electronic.
- Comply with all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures with particular reference to compliance within the QC laboratory.
- Participate in EHS audits and housekeeping audits as requested.
- Ensure safe laboratory operation.
- Assist with the training of less experienced QC staff.
What you need for the role
To succeed in this role you will have;
- Degree in Analytical science or equivalent HND/HNC
- Experience in an analytical lab role ideally in fine chemicals or Pharma
- Understanding of quality standards and processes
- Knowledge of cGMP, GDocP and ALCOA
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Responsible attitude to health and safety
- Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment
- High level of flexibility
