QC Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QC Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis in our Quality Department. The job holder will be required to:

• Perform the laboratory analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, cleaning verification samples and other miscellaneous samples to the written procedures and SOP’s as required.
• Sample raw materials, finished products and other products as required. 
• Maintain documentation and electronic records according to the requirements of cGMP. 
• Work as part of a day shift rotation that includes 12 hour shifts and also includes weekend working.

 Key responsibilities

In this role you will be required to:

• To perform analysis and report results in accordance with cGMP requirements for laboratory operations.
• Report analytical deviations and out of specification results with appropriate rigour and to contribute to their root cause resolution.
• Perform routine housekeeping of laboratory area.
• Ensure GDocP compliance of all documentation, written and electronic.
• Comply with all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures with particular reference to compliance within the QC laboratory.
• Participate in EHS audits and housekeeping audits as requested.
• Ensure safe laboratory operation.
• Assist with the training of less experienced QC staff.

 What you need for the role

To succeed in this role you will have;

• Degree in Analytical science or equivalent HND/HNC 
• Experience in an analytical lab role ideally in fine chemicals or Pharma
• Understanding of quality standards and processes
• Knowledge of cGMP, GDocP and ALCOA
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Responsible attitude to health and safety
• Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment 
• High level of flexibility
