What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Lab Technician position at Verber Dental Group?
Description
The Digital Dental Technician will produce digital dental appliances such as 3D printed surgical guides, diagnostic models, die models, crowns, and more digitally fabricated restorations and appliances, etc. The technician will create all digital steps to scan, mill, or print. The technician should be familiar with 3D printing and CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/ Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology using 3-shape LMS for case management. Verber Dental Lab uses Asiga 3D printers and a Roland Mill.
- Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
- Design and adjust cases using 3Shape software
- Import scans from Itero and evaluate scan for producibility
- Proficiency in scanning models
- Design dental CAD full contour crowns, bridges, and implant abutments
- Fabrication of custom/prepped abutments
- Ability to produce artistic and esthetic designs using CAD
- Advanced knowledge in dental anatomy and terminology
- Willing to advance skill-set and knowledge in order to grow with the company
- Computer skills are a must
- Communication skills, as you will be working with technicians and doctors to produce a high quality restoration
- Pour models from impressions received from doctors in the proper material
- Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique
- Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship
- Check case for correct doctor information, finish date, product, metal type, and fabrication questions that need to be called on the next day
- An understanding of the techniques involved in milling and sintering Zirconia a plus
Schedule: Full-Time Position
Monday- Friday: 7:30 am-3:30 pm

Requirements
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician (Preferably in a Fixed Restoration Department including CAD/CAM design)
- Preferred: Digital design experience with dentures, Crowns, implants, surgical guides, guards, full arches.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills that contribute to the team spirit and put patients at ease
