Housekeeping

Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale, AZ is looking for one housekeeping to join our 26 person strong team. We are located on 300 N Broadway. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.

FACILITIES AND GROUNDS CREW MEMBERS

Verde Canyon Railroad

Status: Full Time/part time

Key Responsibilities

·        Ensures that all the grounds and Buildings are in a clean and inviting manner

·        Must have an eye for detail and quality that fulfills the experience designed for our guest

•      Create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests
•   Maintain a safe environment for passengers
•        Sweep, scrub, mop and vacuum floors
• Shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery as needed
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated area
• Maintain health and sanitary requirements

Position Qualifications

• Ability to manage time effectively to ensure completion of tasks
• Knowledge of cleaning practices and procedure
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen effectively
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under little supervision
• Able to physically move on and off the train safely.
• Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
•  Housekeeping knowledge preferred
• Must have open weekend availability.

Position Requirements

·        Be 18 years of age or older

·        Able to read, write, and speak English fluently

·        Able to work varied hours, weekends and holidays, based on train operating schedule

·        Have transportation to and from work

·        Commit to promoting a safe working environment

·        Able to stand or sit for long periods of time

·        Able to walk considerable distance on uneven surfaces, bend and or twist at odd angles and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. during a shift

·        Work in outdoor elements such as heat, rain, snow, wind and dust

·        Have a professional appearance as dictated by a Company dress code

General Information
