Job Title: Pump Technician
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Effective Date: January 1, 2023
Position Type:
· Full Time.
· Expected 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with additional overtime if required by supervisor.
Supervisor(s): Sales Manager
Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour.
Summary: Install, repair, and service sulfuric acid and fertilizer injection pumps. Examine injection systems for damage and malfunctioning parts. Diagnose problems and come up with solutions for pumps that are not pumping properly.
Essential Job Functions:
· Examine malfunctioning customers’ injection system(s) and identifying cause of malfunction.
· Keep detailed report of parts used and services performed on each individual pump.
· Communicate with supervisor(s), as wells as other company employees, in order to fulfill company needs.
· Explain issues with equipment and repairs to supervisor.
· Work with hazardous materials.
· Maintain clean and well organized pump shop.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to effectively communicate with others.
· Ability to use various hand and power tools.
· Ability to read and write English.
· Must possess current and valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 50lbs of parts/equipment to hip level.
· Ability to lift 25lbs of parts/equipment to parts shelves overhead.
Travel:
· This position does require occasional overnight travel.
Required Education/Experience:
· There is no required level of education.
