About the Position:
The IT Specialist assists with ensuring the stable operation of our IT infrastructure. This includes configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all infrastructure hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also serve as Level 1 support to analyze and resolve hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The position reports to the Program Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide daily support to our end-users on a wide variety of technology solutions, including but not limited to desktops, networking and software.
· Provide a first touch for all support issues. This may be working on the issue directly or starting a ticket with enough detail included for our Managed Service Provider to start working the issue.
· Work side-by-side with other team members.
· Keep complete documentation in a central repository of all time working on issues and non-client issues.
· Keep complete documentation in a central repository of all pertinent information, including, but not limited to: passwords, configurations and procedures.
· Provide vital input with the team. Always seeking to improve performance of self and the company.
· Utilize company provided training opportunities. Strives to stay current on professional certifications as agreed upon with supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or vocational degree in computer science or relevant field preferred
- Two years’ experience as network technician, or relevant position.
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, teamwork and organizational skills.
- Experience with network technologies and support.
- PC proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software applications.
