Job Summary:
Veritex Financial Service Representatives are highly cross-trained professionals who provide both Personal Banker and Teller services. They are positioned well by our leadership for excellent career growth and intellectual challenge. While assigned to a home Community Bank Center (branch), our FSR’s may travel to other CBCs (branches) to fill in, as needed.
This professional will promote financial products such as credit cards, CD’s, IRA’s, Treasury Management services and credit options; open and manage deposit accounts and create positive solutions and experiences for potential and existing customers.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Conduct both Personal Banker and Teller services
- Servant heart and servant leadership approach to others
- Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential
- Proficient with all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
- Ability to answer detailed customer questions as well as sell bank products and services
- Excellent communication skills needed to identify customer needs and explain bank brochures and other bank literature
- Ability and willingness to greet customers in a friendly manner
- Maintain a positive and helpful attitude in any situation
- Strong attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy ETC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve innovative solutions
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Two plus years of retail branch banking preferred
- Or four plus years of retail sales experience
- Strong knowledge of financial product knowledge
