Math Teacher - Leave Replacement

Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to fill a full-time leave replacement position for a Math Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires the ability to engage students in critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of mathematical concepts in real-world scenarios. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration to ensure a seamless transition and continued success in the mathematics curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in algebra I & II and geometry.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic performance and behavioral expectations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.

Requirements

• Valid NJ teaching certification in Mathematics (#1900).
• Previous teaching experience in a middle or high school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current mathematics curriculum and instructional practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and parents.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Proficient in the use of educational technology and tools to enhance learning.
