What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Designer position at Veronica Beard?
Overview:
Veronica Beard is seeking a creative and passionate Assistant Designer to join our tailoring team. The Assistant Designer is responsible for supporting the design team in all areas including sketching, creating tech packs, updating BOMs, creating flats and CADs, updating boards, and taking notes for the team. The role reports directly to the Senior Design Director and is based in our NYC office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the design team to recolor flats, CAD patterns on flats, and upload and manage styles in PLM.
- Organize and maintain records of all creative development
- Assist in sketching and creating TPs for new and repeat styles
- Creates flat technical Illustrator sketches for Design development tech packs
- Maintain physical design boards and continually ensure they are updated
Requirements:
- 1 years of Design (internships included)
- Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Excellent eye for color and detail
- Must be driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment
The hourly rate for this role is between $24.00 and $25.00. The relevant hourly rate will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
