Vertiv is hiring a Data Center Research Analyst in Westerville, OH. This person will report to the Portfolio Marketing leader. This role is responsible for creating, supporting, and editing technical content for Thermal Management, AC Power, and other lines of business as needed, including white papers, research content, technical sales enablement, webinar copy, brochures, application briefs, and other technical materials. This person will support content production by interviewing subject matter experts (SME), drafting, editing, reviewing content, and working with global Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver content as needed. Mechanical Engineering degree and experience, experience producing content for thermal science and power for critical infrastructures, and a solid understanding of Vertiv solutions are essential. This role must ensure that all content is written in Vertiv’s brand voice and tone.
- Based on business priorities and product launches, research, develop and maintain content that promotes thermal science, power and other critical infrastructure innovation, best practices, and Vertiv expertise. Content should support our customers with finding solutions on how to efficiently and reliably cool and power their facilities now and into the future. Maintain content calendar to ensure content coordination with other marketing and sales initiatives.
- Develop subject matter experts who will support white paper production, speak at industry events, and lend their name to supporting content such as blogs and bylines.
- Review content requests and ensure all requests are aligned with business priorities and support the mission of the offering management team. Manage production of content requests in line with the content calendar.
- Author, edit, and review corporate marketing content and critical infrastructure-related materials, including blogs, podcasts, training tools, press releases, bylines, event presentations, and other pieces as needed.
- Produce content that takes complex concepts and educates our target market in a way that helps them understand how technologies can be applied to their needs.
- Work with offering managers and engineering to ensure all materials developed are accurate. Ensure all content is prepared and published promptly, especially content supporting product launches.
- Work with offering managers and sales engineers on gathering and recording voice of the customer as needed.
- Manage the website's thermal management, power, and other technical content.
- Support presentations to corporate management as needed.
- Ensure final content has all necessary approvals and has gone through the quality control process before publication.
- Work with creative services to ensure images and videos appropriately represent content.
- Manage close partnerships with Global Marketing COEs to direct effective use and adaption of content for use in marketing promotion.
- Must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Must have experience developing, writing, and maintaining thermal science or data center infrastructure content, including white papers, research content, technical sales enablement, webinar copy, brochures, application briefs, and other technical materials, to support company strategic initiatives.
- Examples of mechanical engineering or critical infrastructure articles or white paper publications are required.
- Experience managing multiple content projects at once from conception through publication, including developing content calendars.
- Experience working with global marketing teams to promote data center or critical infrastructure content.
- Experience working with subject matter experts in developing content, especially interviewing, working through drafts, and finalizing production.
- Experience working with offering or product development teams to develop content strategy and initiatives.
- Ability to grasp complex concepts and educate others on them
- Experience in data center physical infrastructure systems, especially thermal management or power systems.
- Experience working with industry groups and writing for industry publications, a plus.
- Experience gathering voice of the customer research a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of thermal science and power as pertains to data center and mission-critical facilities, and accuracy of content created is critical
- Managing to completion the key annual goals for content for the thermal management and power teams is critical
- Developing the trust and engagement of subject matter experts, sales engineers and offering managers
- Timely content publication and achieving engagement and other success metrics
- Reputation for adding value to content projects
